Last night (literally) I had a brainstorm. I've been knitting with a passion, and passion is what blogs are all about. Or they should be.

So I came up with the idea to knit 12 sweaters in 12 months. Preferably 1 month for one sweater but if I get lucky enough to finish one before the month is over, I would start the next one.

I came up with a LOT of ideas. Knit sweaters by my favorite designers... Elizabeth Zimmerman, Debbie Bliss, Nicky Epstein, Kaffe Fassett. Of all of those, Kaffe Fassett's designs are the most intimidating to me.

My thought process then turned to styles. Aran, Gansey, Fair Isle. Cardigans, pullovers, maybe a child's sweater. Don't worry, I'll make it complicated enough to be interesting... simple enough that it doesn't scare prospective knitters away! My 12th sweater will be one of my own design. No idea if I'll do texture, or colorwork... or what? As of now, it's a mystery.

I do know what I'm going to do for my first sweater. That, however, will be my next blog post.
